Activity Itinerary
- 7:30 AM: Chiang Mai hotel pick up. Transportation to and from your hotel will be provided. We will drive you through the most beautiful and scenic routes in Chiang Mai to the Karen Tribe Native Elephant.
- Each elephant will be introduced to you prior to working with them. You will then get a change of clothes for training. A brief overview of the Karen Tribe traditions will be covered by your guide.
- Our team will teach you how to properly introduce yourself to the elephant you will be working with for the day. After you have met your elephant, you will be taught how to approach and interact with them.
- Learning to Care for Your Elephant: The trainers will teach you how to do daily health checks on your elephant. This includes feeding organic fruits and herbs as well as learning how to make herbal medications for your elephant.
- Lunch Break: A traditional Karen lunch will be provided with bottled water at midday.
- After caring for and exercising your elephant, you will have the option to mount your elephant in the traditional Karen way or walk alongside your elephant to the stream to bathe them.
- “See you later.”: It can be difficult to say goodbye once you’ve experienced this kind of love and care for your elephant. Before departure, you will have time to take lots of photos with your elephant and the trainers. We hope to see you again!!
- 4:00 PM: Chiang Mai hotel drop off.
